15th Anniversary Greeting and Closure Announcement
Thank you very much for always supporting Solemare.
We are delighted to share that on March 31, 2025, our restaurant celebrates its 15th anniversary.
It is only because of the warm support of our customers—those from the island, from all over Japan, and our long-time patrons—that we have been able to come this far. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.
However, we also have an important announcement to make. As of Tuesday, May 6, 2025, we will be closing our Ishigaki Island location.
We sincerely hope that the connections we have made here in Ishigaki will continue, and we look forward to meeting you again in another place and another form in the future. It will take some time, but once the details are finalized, we will share updates on our website and social media.
The time we have spent with you at Solemare is a treasure we will cherish for a lifetime.

About us

The name "SOLEMARE" means "sun and sea" in Italian.
Located in front of Ishigaki Port, our restaurant offers Southern Italian cuisine using unique ingredients from the nature of Ishigaki Island.

We are a Trattoria, which is an at-home and casual Italian restaurant.
Our wish is for our guests to enjoy delicious wine and have a relaxed and enjoyable time with their important friends and family, just like at an Italian Trattoria.
We would be delighted if you can share our passion for this vision of SOLEMARE.

Born in Hyogo prefecture in 1976. After working at "Villa Unarizaki" in Iriomote Island, "Ristorante Le Due Palme" in Naples, "Ristorante Nno' Piscaturi" in Sicily, and ESSE DUE in Tokyo, He finally returned to my long-cherished Ishigaki Island. He opened Solemare in March 2010.
